AlaskanLegacy.com turned 12 years old on May 1st, 2016! Over the years, our online almanac of Alaskana has been based on numerous programming languages. From HTML to WordPress, we’ve utilized it all. Consequently, there has been a lot of bloat and Google redirects to outdated versions of the website.
Finally, a fully updated version of the site will be made available. The new site will incorporate all of the various Legacy sites spread across the internet, in addition to new categories of stories, pictures, and first-hand accounts of life in the Last Frontier.
The 2016 incarnation is the only version over the years which has been optimized for hand-held devices. This means that images and text will appear large on PC monitors but will be vibrant on all mobile platforms. Pictures and videos will be best viewed on mobile devices.
The first two legacy sites to be released are CoachRankin.com and NorthPoleNicks.com. Both sites are just getting up to full speed now, and will include interactive elements where anyone will an opinion can use a comment form.
Many other legacies are being recorded now. Once up to full speed opportunities will be made available to include your own legacies of choice. The latest legacy site to be incorporated into the project will focus on the life and achievements of Fairbanksan Ted Cox.
